Biography
Lorraine was born January 17th 1960 in Brooklyn, NY. The 3rd oldest child of six! She met her husband at the age of 14 and was married for 40 years. She gave birth to two children who she loved dearly. She enjoyed reading and shopping in her pass time, cooking and trying different recipes was also her favorite thing to do.She had a thirst for knowledge going back to college in her later part of life obtaining her bachelor degree in science management. She was a visionary when it came to the love for her family. Her children and grandchildren were the most important things in her life. Before moving into eternal life, she was a strong witness to the almighty God and truly loved everything he created!
Lorraine received her early education from the New York Public schools graduation from fashion Industry High School in 1978. Lorraine continued her education later at The University of Phoenix graduation class of 2010. Lorraine would always encourage her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews the importance of education. For example, Lorraine and husband would take their grandchildren to museums and the library at a early age introducing them to education and its importance. She was a walking testimony of things you can accomplish with proper credentials such as a diploma or degree. She would always say “ never give someone a reason to try to disqualify your hard work, always cover yourself”.
Lorraine was always planning for the future. She was a visionary for everything she cared about. She worked hard putting together ideas and preparing for future endeavors. She was employed by T.I.A.A.-Cref for 32 years. Over the years Lorraine worked with special teams and managed different departments enterprising this company to success. She was very resourceful and innovative. Lorraine performed the true meaning of “if there is a will there is a way”. Thats how compassionate she was about anything she was involved in. Truly a servant of God!
Lorraine Loved unconditionally. From family to friends to work, Lorraine put her all into everything and everyone. She was so determined to build a legacy and lead by example. No matter the circumstances you could always count on her for a positive influence and a listening ear. Lorraine was loved by everyone and touched so many lives with her gentleness. Her grace also touched the doctors and staff who attended to her during her illness. Lorraine knew it was important to cultivate the next generation and influenced them with our history. Her hair style, her cooking, the music she listen to, the books and poems she read all were markings of things coming full circle making everything worth while knowing that she knew her reason and purpose in this world. For those who paid close enough attention to her will for ever be impacted and grateful for her presence.
This Foundation was established to celebrate her life and to uplift the world with love.
